This painting was commissioned by BAE Systems Maritime Services to present to the ships Captain Jerry Kyd on the day after her commissioning. There are 200 limited edition commemorative prints. Each one comes numbered, signed by Julia and with the ships crest in the lower border. There is a small number signed by the Captain.

Description

Britain’s flagship HMS Queen Elizabeth sails into her home port of Portsmouth for the first time. Greeted by thousands of people lining the Portsmouth seafront, the 65,000-tonne carrier was met with the warmest of welcomes as she arrived in her home port just after 7 am on Wednesday 16 August. Royal Navy sailors lined up in ceremonial procedure on the flight deck of this mammoth warship on this momentous and historic occasion.

Paper prints   Large:  594 x 420mm image size – (mounted size 784 x 625mm).  Ex Large:  770 x 540mm image size – (mounted size 980 x 775cm).    Prints are mounted in white acid free mounts, and are shipped flat packed.
